This is my first cut of my animation and I am pretty happy with it, overall people thought visually it looks really nice and the story is "sweet and simple" with a nice message at the end. However there a few things I will change for the final version; I need to incorporate my own sound effects for example when Eve scratches her chin and the sound of the wagon wheels turning. Also when it changes to another scene whilst she is walking it is a little jumpy because of the separate files, so I will try to reduce this by resizing the individual movies.
Audio Effects
The original music file was too short for the entire animation, coming in at around 1 minute 20 seconds, therefore I had to cut the file and duplicate it. In the screenshot you can see where I have faded the first file out and faded the copy back in to make it flow as one piece of music.

For some sound effects I changed the pitch using the 'PitchShifter' tool in Adobe Premiere Pro, for example I lowered the pitch of the owl sounds to make it sound more like an actual owl, when really it was my actor imitating the hoot sound they make.
Visual Effects
In order to use my assets in Premier Pro they had to be given a plain coloured background, either blue or green to act as a 'screen' which could then be keyed out using the 'ultra key' and 'key colour' effects in the program.

Feedback
Viewers generally enjoyed the overall look and aesthetic of my animation, however many mentioned how the addition of a few sound effects, for example when the cake falls out of the wagon. Also it was pointed out how the grass asset moved out of time with the trees in the background and it could be distracting, also how towards the end the flower on the ground suddenly appears which is fairly noticeable. None of the characters have pupils and this was a stylistic choice however it was noted that it could be seen as a forgotten element and doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the environments and objects.
List of Changes
- add sound effects to certain areas; wagon close up, owl flying across screen, Flo waving
- have the grass asset move in time with the background
- add pupils to the characters
Unfortunately I was unable to give my characters eyeballs as it would mean creating a separate asset to add to the existing ones and I wouldn't be able to meet my deadline if I spent time doing this. However it is not a huge issue and I purposefully didn't add them so overall hopefully it doesn't distract the audience too much.
